iPhone Experiments

David low-key has an obsession with iPhone photography experimentation. Here are some of his results.

Project Explanation

They say the best camera is the one you have with you. That measn that every time iPhone photography gets better, your best camera gets better—since most people carry their iPhone with them everywhere.

I (David) love adding some depth-of-field to photos with Focos (but make sure to keep it subtle). The other trick is to shoot in RAW or ProRAW and then apply a film look and a little bit of grain. These two techniques can really minimize the mobile photography look and give you amazing results.

This photo of Sarah was actually taken on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Look how silly that guy with a big camera looks.

I’ve even now done some Senior Portraits on iPhone (though I wouldn’t normally do this).
