Thieme Wedding

This the first wedding we photographed by ourselves, shot back in 2014.

Project Notes

It’s crazy how much you grow in seven years. Sarah and I had just gotten married. I was shooting on a Nikno D7100. As I look back on these photos, I’m really happy with how they turned out. I learned how exhausting and challenging wedding photography can be that day. You’re there the whole day and if you miss something, you usually can’t ask the couple to do it again.

But this was also when I learned that I really like photographing weddings. The live element is exciting, and the end product is something that the couple will look back on for the rest of their lives.

It was a lot harder to get shots like this on the more limited autofocus systems of something like the D7100.
